Concerns about The Passion Translation TPT

The Passion Translation claims to be a new translation for people today. The "translator" is a single man, called Brian Simmons. See his personal website. Simmons is an adherent of the so-called New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) theology, which we think is a heresy. Here is the listing of Brian Simmons on the NAR-connections website, along with the infamous leaders of Bethel Church in Reading (CA), Benny Hinn, Tom de Wal, Rick Warren, Rick Joyner, Joseph Prince, Bill Johnson, Joyce Meyer, and many others.

Simmons believes that he has received special revelation from an angel, called Passion, to write this Passion Translation TPT. He erroniously believes that the original New Testament was written in Aramaic, and was later translated into Greek. In his presentations, he says that he directly translated from the "original Aramaic", which seems to be a 300-400 AD translation, which can be found in the Peshitta collection. These texts are used in the Syriac Orthodox Church.

Youversion
I am personally disappointed that Youversion has included TPT. It shouldn't be.

Gotquestions
What does the well-respected platform Gotquestions.org say about the project. The Passion Translation is not a translation nor a paraphrase and is not recommended by Gotquestions.

Mike Winger
This video shares a couple of concerns as well. The interviewed Mike Winger (website) calls the Passion Translation a tool to prop-up Brian Simmons' false NAR-theology. See all the warning video's about the Passion Translation here.
Conclusion
The Passion Translation written by Brian Simmons is fake. Simmons should be accused for plagiarism without proper referencing.

PS Brian Simmons has hold fast to the so-called Aramaic Primacy. But since a majority of scholars is sure about the Greek Primacy for the New Testament, Brian Simmons lately seems to shift to Greek Primacy, which will undermine his translation project and publishing of TPT updates.
